PK: If I lose my sense of sight, how to experience the world
What would happen if we did not have a sense of sight? Would we know where to go? Would we know where to put Mr. Potato's eyes and ears? Or would we be misled and end with a face like Picasso's paintings?
In this Unit of Inquiry, we learn about our five senses and how they help us experience the world around us. As we are so used to using our five senses, sometimes we can take them for granted.
In this activity, we cover our eyes, follow others' voice instructions, and try to pin the different parts of a face unto Mr. Potato's face. Through the laughter and the students' eager direction, students all find it challenging to find their way to the right place. Through all the laughter, we learned how important it is to have healthy eyesight and how it is crucial to protect our eyes!
