PACK Fundraiser

As part of our Unit of Inquiry- How we organize ourselves, grade four decided to raise money for a local animal charity.They collaboratively researched various charities before deciding on PACK https://packtw.org/en/. They then brainstormed fundraising ideas before deciding on having a sponsored non-uniform day. They promoted the charity and non-uniform day through class presentations and creating posters to display around the school. The children across the school thoroughly enjoyed their non-uniform day and all made generous donations and on top of this grade four manned a charity booth outside during pick-up times and raised extra funds.

The photos show Echo, from the charity, collecting the money raised and presenting Kuei Shan with a certificate of appreciation. She was amazed at how much we raised and explained how it would be spent in looking after the many stray and injured dogs they care for.

In total we raised: $51, 415 , what an absolutely amazing achievement. Grade four really got to experience what Action is in reality!
