Grade 5 Unit of Inquiry 2- Who We Are- Social Studies

We have been exploring identity and how it is linked to culture. The students have researched different cultures and how that influences Who We Are; from looking into beliefs, traditions, celebrations and so on.

As part of the Unit research has been carried out into the different Indigenous Tribes of Taiwan: what makes them unique. Additionally, we have learned about historical events in Taiwan’s history by looking at different time periods. This will culminate in students identifying key events in Taiwanese history and how this has influenced identity.
