Reader's theater is a strategy that combines reading practice and performing with the goal of enhancing students' reading skills and confidence. It gives students a real reason to read aloud. Readers’ theater is an instructional technique that engages students in heterogeneous groups providing motivation, socialization, and cooperation (Marshall). For our Grade 3 students it is just plain fun. We even made popcorn and watched the videos in class. “Can we do it again?” they asked.
