G3 How We Express Ourselves : Act out fairy tale without using words

During Unit 3 - How We Express Ourselves, students were put into groups and each group leader chose a random fairy tale. Students were given 5 minutes to plan and rehearse. Each group had to act out their fairy tale without using words, allowing students to test their creativity. This activity fits in nicely with our central idea, stories retold and shared can reflect the beliefs and values of different cultures. As teachers, we all know and understand the importance of play-based learning in the classroom. Students gain a deeper understanding of the curriculum through play.
