G1: Skill into analyzing own actions and identifying own personality traits

Unit: Who We Are

Central Idea: Knowing other people’s life stories helps me know myself.

In this unit, our first grade students gained understanding of who they are through exploring various stories, analyzing characters, and making connections to personal experiences. Students began to understand how to identify character traits by looking at a character’s actions and words. By analyzing other characters, students transferred this skill into analyzing their own actions and identifying their personality traits, as well as their strengths and weaknesses.
