Many exciting new changes, updates, and improvements have been going on at the PYP Library this school year!
Not only are we in the process of expanding our collection of English books for both our PYP Library and the in-classroom libraries, but we also came up with a new event that will further nurture our students' love for reading: The Reader of the Month.

The Reader of the Month is a monthly event hosted for students Grade 1 - 5, where once a month, the English teachers will nominate a student from their grade as a possible candidate to be nominated the next Reader of the Month. Then, students' names are sent to the Librarian, Mrs. Olivia Gonzalez Yun, who makes the final decision.
Nominated students will show most, if not all, the following characteristics:
- Passion for reading
- Self-driven desire to read and learn more
- Exemplary attitude towards books
- A true aspiration to improve themselves in the area of reading
The lucky winner will be "crowned" as the Reader of the Month, as well as receive a small school supplies goody-bag, and their names will be published on the 4F Library's Announcement Board.
Congratulations to our very first Reader of the Month for the month of October, 2017 - the book-loving Tara Olivia Hockin from Grade 3!
