G5 Cucumber Harvest

今年五年級學生種植小黃瓜,從種子一天一點的照顧,終於收成,親自動手製作出美味可口的涼拌小黃瓜。奎山的大自然人文省思,再次透過學生們親手種、親自照顧到親口吃進嘴裡,了解到天氣變化影響了種植,也知道一切得來不易,最後享受成果的甜美滋味。


This Year, Grade 5 Students had a fruitful cucumber harvest.Students take great care of cucumbers when they were still seeds till they are ripe to serve. In class, students are put into groups and made their own refreshing and delicious cucumber salad.


Kuei Shan's philosophy is to educate the young to respect the mother nature , through planting and gardening by themselves, students understood that weather plays a big role in the growth of plants, in connection to Sharing the planet unit,"Changes in earth's structure can have devastating effects.",with an inquiry on human-made and natural changes in earth's atmosphere and structure. Also, as they've got the experience of being a little farmer, they learnt that it's a long path from the very beginning (sowing) to the final step (collecting),therefore, they learnt to be grateful.


Besides, through practical experience, it's certain that they enjoy the results more, and the cucumbers taste sweeter and better.



小黃瓜在陽台上曬日光浴。 Cucumbers are growing on the balcony and under the sunshine.




學生們收穫造型百變的小黃瓜。 Students got cucumbers in all kinds of shapes.


沖洗乾淨後切片,加入辣椒與蒜頭。 Cucumbers are rinsed and cut into slices. After that, add chili peppers and garlics.


清爽可口涼拌小黃瓜完成。Refreshing and delicious cucumbers are ready to serve!
