Unit 1 Who we are

Fabric Collage: Creative Process; Elements of Art

Central Idea: We make decisions in using colors and compositions to present a certain meaning through an art piece. (partially connected to Who we are)

Subject Overview

The unit focused on color exploration and composition of the image, and students used fundamental collage skills such as tearing, cutting and pasting to complete the artwork. Students explored the link between colors and personal feelings and emotions, practicing to explore their thoughts and present it as a symbol icon. Artist Henri Matisse was introduced to students, and they had to observe how Matisse practiced the use of colors and shapes that relate to the certain context. Students experimented in the ways that Matisse created the images, and used the fabrics with the idea of collages to present their artworks.

彩布拼貼:創意思考的進程 ; 藝術的元素

中心思想:透過色彩與構圖,我們做出決定來透過一件作品呈現特定的含義。


課程總觀:

這個單元著重於探索色彩與圖像組合,學生也透過基本的拼貼技巧,如:撕布、剪布及貼布來完成藝術作品。學生探索色彩與個人情緒的連結,也藉此練習如何透過象徵性的圖像來傳達自身想法。在課堂上,老師介紹藝術家馬諦斯的作品給學生,學生也觀察到馬諦斯如何利用顏色與形狀來連接特定的意念脈絡。學生體驗馬諦斯創造畫像的方式,也運用拼貼概念,把一塊塊彩布融入至作品中。






《My house》I used to live in a big house and there were two trees, one the left and one on the right. We always saw very big stars at night and it rains sometimes in Slovenija.


《I am Happy》Walking by the river at night. This shows a calm, happy day.
