G2 Inquiry into light & Puppet show

Our second Unit of Inquiry, How the World Works, had a strong science focus. The Central Idea was “Light comes from different sources and has different properties helps us to understand that it is an essential resource”. The children did multiple hands-on experiments and activities involving shadows, reflection and refraction. We explored the history of light through a study of Thomas Edison and how light has been used throughout history. We went on a field trip to the science museum and puppet museum where the children learned to make shadow puppets. For the summative assessment the children wrote and performed play-scripts using their knowledge of light and shadows.

Let's take a look of these amazing scripts! One of these story plots: Students are invited by Edison to visit his lab!

Let's take a look of these amazing scripts! One of these story plots: The host of students' field trip is the brain of Edison(Mr.Brain)!
