Caring in many ways

Our summative assessment for this unit, Who we are, required students to write a storybook about a community helper. The central idea of this unit is “People care about their family, friends, and community in different ways.” Throughout the unit, students learned about different ways that people show caring and how people care about each other in the community. Students learned how to care for each other and show caring in different ways. At the end of the unit, students chose a community helper who shows caring in their daily life, and compose a mini book about how their character helps in the community.
