Matthew 25 Challenge

Have you ever slept on the ground because you had no bed to sleep on?

Have you ever worn the same clothes because those are the only clothes you had?

Have you ever starved because you had very little or no food at all?

In all likelihood, these are not problems we have experienced in Taiwan because our lives are very comfortable compared to millions of people around the world--including millions of children--who have so little food, drink, and clothes.

Last April 23-27, all Kuei Shan PYP students engaged in the Matthew 25 Challenge (by World Vision), which brings those problems into our classrooms and into their homes, in order for us to be more informed about the global crisis of millions of people in great need.

Kuei Shan Secondary School’s World Vision Club facilitated discussions and reflections with the children in class after each challenge. Through these simple yet profound daily challenges, we believe the students have grown in empathy, compassion, and generosity as they pray for those who have little.
