Chapel Time!

We praise and thank the Lord for this wonderful opportunity to open another avenue for Kuei Shan students to learn more about God and His everlasting love. We are pleased to announce our monthly chapel time, which is organized by our school chaplain, Rev. Peter Chen. Each month, Kindergarten to grade 5 students gather together for a time of praise and worship led by our beloved and talented PYP teachers, for another time to read God’s Word, and to further understand God’s commands and promises through a sermon or message.

This year’s chapel time focuses on a very essential model in the Bible that Jesus wants us to follow: The Lord’s Prayer. Pastor Chen dissects the prayer and emphasizes on one part each session. The past three gatherings focused on the first three lines of the Lord’s prayer. Below are some key points conveyed through the messages:

“Our Father in Heaven” - He is our “father” and we can talk to Him!

“Hallowed be Your name” - God wants us to be different (holy) by living a life pleasing to Him

“Your kingdom come” - God wants us to be a blessing and share God’s love with everybody around us

Next month’s chapel time will touch on the next lines of the Lord’s Prayer. As Kuei Shan continues to strive for the fulfillment of its mission - to build godly leaders who will make a difference in our community - we believe that God works alongside us in molding our students to become individuals after God’s own heart.
