第二單元的中心思想是「物質的特性可以幫助我們理解科學過程的本質」，透過學習科學方法，並做實驗，了解各種物質有趣的特性。其中，我們特別著重磁鐵的實驗與應用，總結性評量為孩子運用所學的磁鐵特性，製作一個有趣的磁鐵玩具，並在全班面前呈現及介紹。
